Among our guest, were families from all over Texas, including Dallas, Waco, San Antonio, Houston, and the Austin area. Dr. Octavian Adam from UTMB, came and spoke briefly as well as provided some PowerPoints on Ataxia including information on genetics, complications and general facts. Chris Youso, a Physical Therapist from Reavis Rehab and Wellness Center, spoke on the importance of exercise, not only for all of us, but especially important for anyone living with Ataxia or any other Movement Disorder. Juli Hartman, with Texas Holistic Arts Center, Liberty Hill gave free Reiki Treatments throughout the day. Boot Scootin BBQ Team, provided some of the food and cooked and served it. Joe’s BBQ Team! Sno-cone machine was provided by "Party Central" 11810 Manchaca, Austin, TX 78748 Face painting was a highlight for the kiddos! Melinda Ellis of Cedar Park, TX donated her talent for that.
