Ataxians, Family & Friends
Our support group began in November 2009 to offer networking opportunities for Ataxians, their family and friends in the Austin area to make the best of a challenging diagnosis. A support group provides an opportunity to share with others your experiences with Ataxia including the positive and negative along with the emotional & physical struggles those affected by Ataxia are faced with. In addition, it also serves to educate patients, their family and medical professionals as well about Ataxia and its associated challenges as well as available treatments & equipment to ease the fight. Be sure to join us this year at the 2011 International Ataxia Awareness Day (IAAD) Event on October 1, 2010 in Georgetown, TX.
