June 1982 - it was obvious he would have a mind of his own. If you didnt respond to him, he would yell at you. |
| |
September 1982 - he still wanted attention and was fond of Peek-a-boo. Loved his sister Kelly and enjoyed rough
housing with her. |
| |
May 1983 - he really had a temper! Started pulling hair, hitting, and constantly picking on sister Kelly and then
would laugh. |
| |
1983 through 1987 - Did not like discipline at all. Extrememly hyper. By age 2 he was enrolled into a preschool
program through the school district, due to speech and learning delays. He so enjoyed his friends there but Did NOt want his hands in
playdo, shaving cream, dirt or anything else! That never did change! He did enjoy Legos. he had an imigination that did not quit when
it came to building with them. He mad a camera once with a button on it and was not even 3. He always had an ability to remember
phone numbers. He loved to bounce in his johnny jump up. He could sit in that for hours. Joe was a Houdini. He could get out of any
restraint. He constantly got out of his crib and get lost. I bought a crib restraint that cost 165.00 and after 2 days he figured
out how to get out of it. We had to raise the door locks on the exit doors as he knew how to get outside. The funny time (not so
funny then!) I went to take the trash out, he climbed up on a chair, locked me out. he was 2. I finally had to remove a screen and
pry a window to get back in. He always did have trouble riding a bike. Did better with ride toys. |

1987 - he was in Special classes tailored to his needs. Joe had trouble focusing and with comprehension. He
was finally diagnosed with ADHD early 95. Put on Ritalin, and by the end of next school year, he was on the A honor roll. He was
so pleased. It always bothered him because Kelly just buzzed through school with no trouble and he couldnt. |
